On March 1, an exciting evening with Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes” is upcoming, filled with the beauty and emotions of romantic music. The program includes works by the masters of this period:

- R. Schumann – Three Romances for Clarinet and Piano, Op. 94
- J. Brahms – Piano Trio, Op. 8, No. 1

First concert ”Happy Birthday Silhouettes!”
Silhouettes Chamber Ensemble celebrates its tenth birthday on September 20 (Tuesday) from 7 p.m. in the hall of the City Mark Art Center. We will tell you about our path over the years, filled with lots of music, happy moments, funny situations and unforgettable experiences together. You will hear some favorite works from our repertoire by Corelli, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, Messiaen... A special guest that evening will be our teacher Prof. Venceslav Nikolov, who will help us telling the story of Silhouettes together. We will also make the premiere of our first CD ”Silhouettes”. An exciting evening awaits us! Filled with many emotions, smiles, and finally, of course, cake.

Second concert ”The New 10!”
With the special participation of prof. Patrick Jüdt, viola (Switzerland)
and Niklas Walentine, violin (Denmark)
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes” in Sofia will arrive musicians who have been part of the ensemble's creative path over the years and their participation in the sessions of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA). Patrick Jüdt is a viola and chamber music professor at the University of Bern, Switzerland and artistic director of ECMA. Prominent soloist and chamber musician, composer and conductor, he has played with Ensemble Modern, Frankfurt and Collegium Novum, Zürich. Together with him, the young Danish violinist Niklas Walentin arrives from Copenhagen. He is a laureate of the Carl Nielsen competition. He has played on prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall, New York, Mariinsky Theatre, Verbier Festival, Switzerland, etc.
Together with Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes” they will present a non-standard format of a concert in ”three acts”, in which you will hear works by Frank, Prokofiev and Bartok as well as music by the Danish composer Carl Nielsen and Prof. Patrick Judd's new piece for solo violin which will be premiered to the Bulgarian public. With this concert, the ”Silhouettes” ensemble hopes to step on the path of its ”new 10” years through creative encounters, new horizons and even bolder ideas.
