MUSIC TELLS... to the kids with love

A classical concert for the little ones between 0 and 5 years

Metza-Metzana, Zayo-Bayo, Katerichka-Runtavelka, Ezhko-Bezhko ... These are some of the characters in two favorite Bulgarian fairy tales for the little ones. They will be on the stage together with the Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes” (Kalina Miteva - violin, Gabrieva Kaloyanova - cello, Lilia Jekova - piano, Kristian Kaloyanov - clarinet) and the flutist Martin Pavlov, but the main narrator of the story will be MUSIC. It will carry us away to a fairytale, magical world that is full of beauty, sincere smiles and colorful emotions. ”Music tells...” is the third performance of the ”Silhouettes” in the hall of the City Mark Art Center, dedicated to the youngest listeners aged 0-5 and their parents. Works by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak and others will be performed.

The Music of the Forest

A classical concert for the little ones between 0 and 5 years

Tweet of birds, rustling of water, buzzing of bees... These sounds welcome the youngest listeners and their parents in the hall of City Mark Art Center in Sofia. Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes” and Mila Kitanova (narrator) reveal the secrets of the forest sounds, turning the enchanting forest song into magical music. The musicians will lead you through the whole daytime cycle - from the fresh forest morning, through the afternoon din, the sunset and the beauty of the night until the beginning of the new day, echoed by the wonderful pieces of Schubert, Debussy, Tchaikovsky and others.
”The Music of the Forest” is a classical concert, accompanied by charming stories in rhymes, forest sounds and pictures that complement the experience and immerse children and parents in a fabulous atmosphere.

The Colourful Book

A classical concert for the little ones between 0 and 5 years

In the program performed by Silhouettes Chamber Ensemble and Mila Kitanova (narrator), you will hear small and beloved pieces from Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, Saint-Saens, Korsakoff, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Pipkov, Vladigerov and others. The pieces are part of a colourful fairy-tale with favourite animals, songs and games! You are welcome with your little one to be part of this bright musical world.

"Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev

A musical fairy tale for children between 4 and 10 years old and their parents

”Silhouettes” Chamber Ensemble and Nadezhda Kondaklieva (narrator) present the tale of little Peter who catches the bad wolf and brings him to the zoo. The bad and the good, the courage and friendship are basically the main discussions in the wonderful musical fairy tale of Sergei Prokofiev "Peter and the Wolf", which is still intriguing for the youngest audience. ”Silhouettes” Chamber Ensemble picked the idea for a children's play to introduce this classical masterpiece
to the young ones, to provoke an interest and respect to the art of music, reminding them that being good is not out-of-date!

The show is performed in Bulgarian and in English (suitable for children learning English language).

For a second season, the series of concerts ”The music is telling a story” give joy to children of the youngest baby age by opening the pages of ”The colorful book”, diving them into the magical world of ”The music of the forest”. The older children are excited to listen to the performance of the original musical fairy-tale ”Peter and the wolf”. Chamber ensemble ”Silhouettes” and City Mark Art Center are continuing the series of educational concerts directing their next project to the parents and their school-age children, as well as anyone who wants to sink into the rich world of the classical music. The concert ”FROM AMADEUS – SINCERELY” is dedicated to the genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his personal writing correspondence, with which the musicians wish to get the listeners closer to the composer’s real personality, to the joy and pure energy, that his music brings to the world.
