”Music & Technology” is aimed at everyone interested in the creative process driving a culturally and technologically rapidly changing world. The inventor and composer Martin Eberlein will present theoretical discoveries and inventions, and ”Silhouettes” Chamber Ensemble will perform his musical works. After the event, the audience is given the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with the composer and musicians.

Chamber ensemble ”Silhouettes” at ECMA session at Grossraming, Austria
Chamber Ensemble Silhouettes will take part of the next European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) session in Grossraming, Austria between 1 and 7 September. During this week they will have the pleasure of working with the professors Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl and Avedis Kouyoumdjian. The ensemble will perform W.A. Mozart, Piano trio G-Dur, KV 564 and I. Stravinsky, Suite from L’histoire du Soldat for violin, clarinet and piano on the stage of Kalkalpen Kammermusik Festival on 7 September at 20:00 in Reichraming, Besucherzentrum Ennstal.

Concert in memory of RUMEN BALYOZOV (1949–2019)
”The last time we saw each other at the hall of the Music academy, on the Christmas concert with my young colleagues of Chamber ensemble ”Silhouettes”. We played his famous ”Monkeys” piece, after the big applause the composer modestly bowed from his seat. He brought us a present, his last arrangements for our ensemble of pieces by Gershwin. We promised to play them for him when I get back from my trip. And, of course, I tried to reach him. He didn’t answer the phone...”
Venceslav Nikolov
On the 21th of May (Tuesday) at 19:30 in the First studio of the Bulgarian National Radio the famous Bulgarian cellist Venceslav Nikolov and chamber ensemble ”Silhouettes” will perform a concert dedicated to the memory of Rumen Balyozov, one of the most interesting and varied composers in Bulgaria. The program includes the Rumen Balyozov's works and arrangements.

Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes”
Presents ”Masterpieces from the Russian Classics”
The ensemble will perform two concerts at Chamber Hall ”Bulgaria”, which present some of the most iconic pieces of the Russian classical chamber music.
The first concert is on 26th of March (Tuesday) at 19 h. The program will begin with the ”Histoire du soldat” suite by Igor Stravinsky written for clarinet, violin and piano, followed by four movements from the famous ballet ”Romeo and Juliet” by Sergei Prokofiev in arrangement for flute and piano. Guest performer is Alexander Djambazov (flute). The evening will finish with Trio for violin, piano and violoncello by Tchaikovsky, composed in the memory of the amazing pianist Nikolai Rubenstein.
The second concert will be on 14th of May (Tuesday) at 19 h. It is dedicated to the music of Dmitri Shostakovich and Sergei Prokofiev.
The program includes:
- Dmitri Shostakovich - Trio for violin, violoncello and piano, op. 8, No. 1, c moll;
- Dmitri Shostakovich - Preludes from op. 34 for clarinet and piano;
- Sergey Prokofiev – Overture on Hebrew Themes, op. 34 for clarinet, two violins, viola, violoncello and piano;
- Dmitri Shostakovich – Trio for violin, violoncello and piano, op. 67, No. 2, e moll.
Guest performers will be Mike Perroud (violin) and Christian Sugarev (viola).

”Silhouettes” will attend two of the upcoming sessions of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA)
From April 24 to 30 2019 ”Silhouettes” will be one of the 9 participating ensembles in the session in Oslo, Norway.
They will have the opportunity to work with the professors Hatto Beyerle (viola, Alban Berg Quartet), Johannes Meissl (violin, ”Artis” Quartet),
Ralf Gothoni (piano), Patrick Jüdt (viola), Torleif Thedeen (cello).
Between July 14 and 21 2019 the ensemble will participate in the session in Fiesole, Italy. The teaching professors will be
Patrick Juedt (viola), Johannes Meissl (violin), Andrea Nannoni (cello), Dirk Mommertz (piano).

On a Tour in Denmark and Germany
Between 26th of May and 1st of June the musicians from Chamber ensemble ”Silhouettes” and prof. Venceslav Nikolov (violoncello) will perform several concerts with various programs in Copenhagen. Some of the dates are:
- 28th of May (Tuesday) at 19:00 in the Johannes Døbers Kirke;
- 30th of May (Thursday) at 19:00 in the National Danish Radio (DR), Koncerthusets, Hall 4. Tickets online;
- 31st of May at 17:00 outdoors on the stage of the Museum Munkeruphus.
After that, between 1st and 8th of June, the tour will continue on island Sylt in Northern Germany. The concerts on island Sylt will take place as part of the ”Academy am Meer” in Klappholttal, which the musicians of Chamber ensemble “Silhouettes” visit for the 6th year in a row.
”Silhouettes” will attend two sessions of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) to the edge in 2018
From October 31 to November 06, 2018, ”Silhouettes” Chamber Ensemble will participate in the ECMA session in Paris, France. They will work there
with prof. Hatto Beyerle (viola, ”Alban Berg” Quartet), prof. Johannes Meissl (violin, ”Artis” Quartet), prof. Itamar Golan (piano) and prof. Diana Ligeti (cello).
The session in Paris includes a workshop for studio audio recordings of the participating ensembles.
From 19 to 25 November 2018, ”Silhouettes” Chamber Ensemble will attend the next session in Bern, Switzerland, where they will improve their skills
under the guidance of prof. H. Beyerle and prof. J. Meissl, prof. Corina Belcea (violin, ”Belcea” Quartet) and prof. Patrick Jüdt (viola).

CHRISTMAS CONCERT of Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes” in Studio 1 of the Bulgarian National Radio
Several pieces, arranged especially for the ensemble will be performed for the first time on the Christmas concert of Chamber ensemble ”Silhouettes”
on the 10th of December (Monday) at 19:30 in the First Studio of the Bulgarian National Radio. (”Dragan Tsankov” Blv.4). The young musicians Kalina Miteva,
Gabriela Kaloyanova, Lilia Jekova and Kristian Kaloyanov will enchant the audience performing the Piano Quartet by Gustav Mahler and Intermezzo of Quartet op. 25 by Johannes Brahms, also with the bright and joyful music of Concerto Grosso Op. 6 by the Italian master of the Baroque Arcangelo Corelli,
which is not coincidentally called Christmas concerto (arranged by Kristiyan Kaloyanova for the ensemble). At the concert we will also hear Adagio by Alessandro Marcello, the famous slow movement from his Oboe Concert in a version for clarinet and piano, and also the virtuoso Passacaglia by Handel-Halvorsen for violin and cello - two truly favorite pieces for a few generations of listeners...
Beauty and warmth are the spirit of this program by which the musicians from Chamber Ensemble ”Silhouettes” hope to touch the audience
in Studio 1 of the Bulgarian National Radio as well as listeners all over Europe just before the brightest holiday - Christmas.
